Life has been crazy busy. It all started with Hurricane Irene. Then it was Eid. Then I had tons of work at work (still do). And then I had to go to Chicago for a wedding. Just got back and work is... yup, you guessed it, incredibly busy. And the in-laws are in town.

So - unfortunately - that means that fanfic writing in on hold while Real Life takes a priority. It really sucks because I've got all this great stuff buzzing around in my head, but no time to actually put fingers to keyboard to get it typed out.

How is everyone else doing? I hope you had a great Labor Day!

For all you writers out there: does this ever happen to you? That your Muse is more than happy to come out and play, but you have no time to indulge?

WriterMuse LOVES to come around when I have other priorities. Right before final exams/projects/papers, I would be a writing machine. ;) It so happens that work is subsidising some skills upgrades for me & the final is in November just in time for NaNoWriMo. ;)

Yeah, that's what happens to me, too. I spent most of August writing HP fanfic and now I'm paying for it. SO behind at work, it's not even funny. And I really want to finish up the final two chapters of the latest one, but I'm FORCING myself to be good and work at work, instead of writing fanfic like mad.

I know what'll happen. By time I get time to write, the muse will have fled.

Trust me, I know what it feels like when your head is full of ideas but you can't put them down because RL takes over. It sucks so much.

Best of luck to you. I hope you get time soon to write some awesome fics. (And write some Clois stuff too ;) )

Thank you!! I don't know if I'm going to go back to writing Clois fics after I finish "IWITS" (I am forcing myself to finish that one because I promised).

Let's see if the new Superman movie makes my muse sit up and take notice. ;)

I know you no longer want to write about Lois and Clark and Smallville, but I so want to see how Written in the Starts would end. I know that part of moving on is to busy oneself with other stuff, so that is what you did to cope, but I hope someday you can go back to writing about them. You were really good (I actually envisioned you writing about Lois and Clark after Season 10, episode per episode).

I know I am still in denial land.

I'm totally going to finish "It's Written in the Stars"! I know I've promised that a million times, but I have about half of the next chapter written. It's only got two chapters left & I know exactly what happens. It's just an issue of sitting down and writing it.

And, yeah, I have been side-tracked by the HP fics, but - to be honest - it was fun to try to write characters not named "Lois Lane" and "Clark Kent" and try to see if I can even do it. (Also, I was trying to cope with HP ending & wanted to extend my HP love in some way.)

But... yeah... IWITS is next on my list. I'll be finishing up "The First Time I..." and then I'm finishing IWITS and then I'm going back to "Standing on the Brink".

After that, I may go back and write some Clois. A "Season 11" fanfic collection sounds pretty awesome, but I don't know if I'm the right person to write that....

Thank you for your response. I appreciate it.

You are the right person to write it. :) Says someone who is a fan. :)

Sorry that I am not really a huge Harry Potter fan, though I did read all the books.

Hope everything is well with you and your family.

You're very welcome. And thank you for your kind words. It motivates me to finish "IWITS" knowing that there are still folks out there who want to read the ending! :)
