Clark walked into his well lit kitchen and came to a screeching halt at the gorgeous view of his girlfriend leaning over to study the contents of his open refrigerator. That, of course, wasn’t the sight that made him pause. No, he stopped to admire the curve of her butt in her skin tight jeans and the one inch of sun-tanned skin peeking out between said jeans and her t-shirt.

Lois typed feverishly on her computer, glancing up every now and then to read the text on the screen. Clark came down the stairs, slipping his watch on his wrist. He had about one hour to get dinner ready. Usually, it would only take him a few minutes to do the prep work, but he wanted tonight to be special. So, it was going to be her favorite meal – roast beef, mashed potatoes, and Martha’s famous gravy. He just hoped he could manage to make it even remotely close to how his mother made it. He chuckled when he realized that even his worst cooking was better than Lois’s best attempts, so she wouldn’t really be in a position to complain. While he was formulating this argument in his head, the doorbell rang, bringing thoughts of Lois to a halt.

“Okay, now I want you to sauté the onions lightly,” the instructor announced from the front of the room. “Remember, just a dab of olive oil and half the onions from what we chopped up before.”

A/N: This one is completely AU at this point. It was written after "Disciple" and well before "Conspiracy"... it was a way to imagine what role Amanda Waller would play on the show. In canon, at that point, Lois wasn't yet comfortable with admitting that she was dating Clark and they hadn't said "I love you to each other" (at the time, I had no clue that it was be season 10 before they'd say it).

________

I stood in line for my coffee, scanning the article that had made the front page of the DP instead of the one I’d submitted to Brady. City Hall strike – same old, same old. Why Brady kept going for the safe stuff hacks like Rob and Katie submitted to him was beyond me. The DP totally needed a new editor in chief to come in and shake things up.

My inner musings (and, let’s face it, annoyance) were interrupted by a woman letting out a shriek of excitement near the front of the coffee shop. I shifted to get a better look at what the commotion was about and heard her yell out, “YES, oh my God, YES!!”

Lois opened her eyes slowly, feeling the harsh lights prick against them as she first cracked one open, then the other. Lois filled the tub with water, making sure the handle was set to ‘hot’ all the way. No tepid, lukewarm water for her. She had very specific rules about her bath and starting out with almost painfully hot water was part of the equation. Taking out her favorite bubble bath, she poured it in liberally. Once the bubbles had started to froth, she dipped her toe in, judging that the temperature was absolutely perfect. So she slid the robe off of her shoulders, letting it pool at her feet. With a deep, contented sigh, she slipped into the perfect, soapy water and then closed her eyes, lying back against the bath pillow.

A/N: I wrote this one after "Warrior" aired... I needed some way to release my ire and anger at the SV writers. I hate that they constantly put Lois Lane in a situation where she somehow had to feel LESSER next to Clark Kent. He spent years pining after Lana and being jealous of everyone that ever looked at Lana (while Lana told him off, repeatedly) but when it came to Lois? It was always Lois who got the shaft and this episode was the height of it. So, I thought to myself, "What if the situation were reversed? What if CLARK had to deal with someone chasing Lois for a change, as opposed to Lois having to deal with it?"  A lot of folks on Divine Intervention didn't like this drabble.... But I enjoyed writing it! :)

_______________

“Hey, Lane!”

At sound of her name being called across the bullpen, Lois turned around and saw Oliver coming towards her. Her lips curved up in a smile as she raised a hand in greeting. “Diana, we need to find you a man,” Lois declared. She grabbed a copy of the latest Daily Planet off the rack and rolled her eyes at the headline. Wonder Woman… Friend or Foe?

Her friend had been flipping through a coffee book she’d found on a display rack and at Lois’s announcement, she let out a sound of indignation. “Excuse me?” One brow rose coolly as Diana turned to face her.

Wow, memories. I wrote this back in December 2007 for Sunrei. The prompt for that Christmas fic exchange was "Grinch". It's set post-"Gemini".

Clark shook his head decisively. “No way, Lois. I can’t do it – I don’t care what you say.”

“C’mon, Smallville. You know you want to….,” Lois wheedled. She wheeled her chair a bit closer to where Clark stood and looked up at him. “Where’s your Christmas spirit?”

This was written in December 2009 as a gift for Sarawolfe. (The DI fic exchange.) The assigment was to write a story with Jor-el as a prompt. It is supposed to be set in S10.

“You have feelings for this woman,” Jor-el stated, his voice not reflecting any emotion outside of his typical arrogant tone.

“Yes,” Clark admitted. He looked around the Fortress and let out a sigh. “I love her.” Clark had considered hiding his feelings for Lois, but knew that Jor-el was not going to be held off for much longer. Especially now that Lois knew his secret and he was considering taking the next step in their relationship.

A/N: This was written in December 2006 and set in Season 7. The prompt for that year's DI secret Santa exchange was the title of songs. I got "O' Christmas Tree". And I wrote it for Sunrei.

“I’m so glad you were able to make it, girls. I missed you last year,” Martha said affectionately as she took out a tattered cloth ornament from the box at her feet.

Lois glanced up from the box she’d been rifling through and lied smoothly, “Yeah, I missed you guys, too. This is so much more fun than last year.”

Another December 2009 Christmas fic for the DI Fic Exchange. This one was for Sarahbookjunkie (it was a make-up fic, because she didn't get hers). The request was S9 and Martian Manhunter.

“Well, we could go out to the new place tonight or we could order in,” Clark asked, following Lois out of the elevator to their desks. “I think we should order in.”

“OK, well, that’s the last of them,” Lois declared. She settled back on her sofa and let out a pleased sigh as she glanced around at her apartment. Completely devoid of plants and flowers of any kind, unless one counted the Christmas tree in the corner. She’d been avoiding her place all day, because the flower shop had said they couldn’t stop by until late in the evening, because of the rush in their store due to the holidays. Lois was glad to finally be rid of all them and happy that the local hospital had agreed to take them.

“Look what I found…” Lois sang out joyously as she held up a brightly wrapped package in her hand. It was a small box wrapped in green paper and a red ribbon. “My Christmas present from Clark!”

Chloe looked up from the table where she and Zatanna had been going through some papers and maps. “I thought you promised Clark you weren’t going to look for it.”
